7-27 Tyer 50th anniversary
John and Glynda Tyer will be honored with a 50th wedding anniversary reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2 at Calvary Baptist Church in Palestine. They were married Aug. 1, 1958 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. The event is being hosted by their children and spouses Randy and Martha Tyer and Kevin and Amy Tyer. John worked 17 years with Knox Glass and has spent the last 37 years as owner and operator of Tyer’s Auto Air in Palestine. Glynda retired after 27 years as a secretary in the Westwood School District.
